Ingredients

2 cup blue cornmeal
1 cup all-purpose flour
0.25 cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
0.50 tsp salt
1.50 cup buttermilk
1 large egg
3 tbsp butter, melted
2 tbsp honey

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F and grease an 8×8 baking dish.
  2. Whisk together dry ingredients.
  3. Whisk together wet ingredients.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Transfer batter to prepared dish and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes, until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
